PUMPS, HEATER & RUN DRY PUMP SYSTEMS
All spa baths are supplied with a cold pump specially developed to suit the number and type of jets in your spa. To maintain a constant water temperature in your spa you may choose to fit your spa with a heater, which contains a heating element and thermostat. The heater is fitted in line and is separate to the pump. This option may not however be used to heat the water but merely to maintain the temperature. If you run a pump without water severe damage to the pump shaft seal will result. To guard against this you may choose to fit a pump with a built in run dry control.
BLOWER FOR SINGLE AND DUAL SYSTEMS
All air system spas are supplied with a single speed air blower in addition to the pump.
WHERE DOES THE PUMP GO?
The pump must be installed in an accessible location. When building a dwarf wall in front of the bath an inspection hatch of at least 300mm square must be allowed providing for unrestricted access to the pump. The pump can also be installed away from the bath in a vanity cabinet or box in the bathroom. Alternatively the pump may be installed on the exterior wall but must be housed in a protective box. Free air flow of 50mm around the pump must be allowed to prevent overheating. All pumps are self draining and water will drain from the pump when it is switched off. The pump and unions must be protected against damage during installation and must be covered to prevent dirt ingression into pump casing. The maximum distance the pump must be installed from the bath is 3 metres.
Hygeine Notes
All pump parts will stand up to normal household cleaners
